Acting I: Intro to Acting (2.5 CREDITS) GRADES 9 - 12 Prerequisite: none This introductory class is designed to develop and strengthen acting skills through observation and listening activities, as well as theater games and exercises, improvisation and pantomime. The three main focuses of this class are ensemble building, script analysis and scene study. There will be heavy emphasis on self-reflection throughout the semester. Students will also be expected to perform in front of their peers.
Acting II: Intermediate Acting (2.5 CREDITS) GRADES 10 - 12 Prerequisite: Acting I This course is for students wishing to mold their craft from page to stage. Students will study and utilize various acting techniques to build ensemble and solo performance skills. Actors will apply and refine new skills by participating in multiple scene studies and monologue performances. As in Acting I, there will be heavy emphasis on self-reflection.
