Technical Theater I(2.5 CREDITS) GRADE 9 - 12 Prerequisite: none Students will be exposed to the five main areas of technical theater: costumes, props, scenery, lighting and sound, and learn how they all connect to create one magnificent production. Students will also understand the role of the director and designer in all five areas. Heavy emphasis will be placed on script analysis, costumes and scenery.
Technical Theater II (2.5 CREDITS) GRADE 10 - 12 Prerequisite: Technical Theater I Students in this class will form the production staff for the spring musical. Students will learn the business and management side of producing a show. Responsibilities include designing and creating scenery, props, costumes, lighting and sound, marketing and publicity, program and ticket design, maintaining budgets and coordinating/organizing schedules and other relevant documents. Students may have to spend additional hours after school to complete work.
